Sexualized discrimination and violence

The counselling service on sexualized discrimination and violence addresses employees and students of Bielefeld University.

Sexualized discrimination and violence are defined as any sexually coloured verbal or non-verbal behaviour that is sexually offensive or humiliating and has been declared undesirable in general or in individual cases.

In cooperation with the Frauenennotruf Bielefeld e.V., Bielefeld University offers counselling on sexualised discrimination and violence. The counselling is for all women* who work or study at the university and can be used anonymously. As an external counselling centre, the Frauenennotruf Bielefeld e.V. works independently of the structures and hierarchies of the university. The counselling is confidential.

Frauenennotruf Bielefeld e.V., supports and informs you on topics such as sexual harassment, sexualised violence or stalking.

By prior arrangement, a personal counselling session can take place in the rooms of the Equal Opportunities Office at the university or in the counselling rooms of the Women's Emergency Hotline at Rohrteichstraße 28.
